This is the least popular among fans. It ignores previous continuity and features graphic nudity and violence. Many consider it the black sheep of the original series. Wrong Turn (2021) – The Reboot Plot: A group of friends hiking the Appalachian Trail find themselves stalked by "The Foundation," a community of people who have lived in isolation for 150 years. Unlike the deformed cannibals of the earlier films, these are clean, organized, and ideologically driven. They kill outsiders to protect their land and bloodline. The film’s final act flips expectations in a brutal way.

Doug Bradley (Pinhead from Hellraiser ) plays a recurring character. This entry is the weakest critically but has a shocking ending that leads directly into the next film. Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort (2014) Plot: A young man inherits a remote resort in Hobb Springs, a mysterious town with a dark history. He and his friends soon discover that the resort is home to an inbred family with a secret: they are not just killers but also maintain a terrifying tradition of sacrifice and cannibalism. The film tries to add a supernatural, almost erotic element.
