Navigate to your Rocksmith install folder (Default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith 2014 ). Drop the downloaded DLL or patched .exe file here.
Enter (Custom Downloadable Content). This underground, community-driven ecosystem has transformed Rocksmith from a great game into an infinite jukebox. This article explores everything you need to know about CDLC: what it is, how to install it legally, where to find it, and why it keeps the game alive a decade later. What Exactly is Rocksmith CDLC? In simple terms, Rocksmith CDLC is user-created content that adds songs to the game that were never officially released by Ubisoft. Unlike standard DLC, which costs $2.99 per song, CDLC is free (with one major legal caveat we’ll discuss).
If you love guitar and own a PC, there is no excuse not to delve into CDLC. Respect the charters, always support the original artists by buying their music, and buy at least one official DLC to keep the system ethical.
Head to CustomsForge (customsforge.com). Find a song you love. Download the .psarc file.
Place the .psarc file into the dlc folder inside your Rocksmith directory. If the folder doesn’t exist, create it.
The Rocksmith Custom Song Toolkit allows you to convert CDLC files, repair old tracks, or even create your own tabs.
