Windows automatically tries to install generic drivers for new hardware. You must install Hytera’s custom driver first. Click "Next" through the typical wizard

A: Check your baud rate. Go to Device Manager → COM Port Properties → Port Settings → Bits per second must match the CPS (usually 115200 or 19200). Also, disable any Bluetooth serial services that might conflict. You must install Hytera’s custom driver first

A: Most Hytera radios require being turned OFF when first connecting the USB cable. After connection, turn the radio on, then press "Read" in CPS.

Without the correct driver, your PC will not recognize your radio. Programming software (CPS) will fail to connect, firmware updates will be impossible, and you may be left staring at an "Unknown Device" error in Device Manager.

Click "Finish." You may be prompted to restart your PC. It is recommended to restart, even if not asked, to finalize the driver registry keys.
